Every once in a while Laserfish mentions a random game that looks interesting. It's not a computer or console game this time, but a "constructible strategy game" called Pirates of the Spanish Main by WizKids, Inc. In adherence to a time-honored tradition, we went out and picked up a couple of "Game Packs" and went at it. You'll find my review of it here and further thoughts on it in the deeper look.

Other games I've recently played include an Unreal Tournament 2004 mod named Alien Swarm, Big Huge Games' Rise of Nations, NCSoft's City of Heroes, the Natural Selection Half-Life mod, and Ubisoft's Shadowbane. All of these are very likely candidates for further reviewing.
